Haritha Villas is a chic collection of upscale villas in an attractive countryside setting in Thiranagama, Sri Lanka. This exclusive inland resort is only a 5-minute drive from Hikkaduwa beach (3 km) and about 25 minutes north of Galle. It is only a 2-hour drive from the Bandaranayake International Airport.
Perched on a hill and nestled under a canopy of green trees, luxury and privacy are at the heart of this hotels design. Haritha Villas consist of seven intimate one-bedroom contemporary villas with rooftops covered in foliage and each with its own private plunge pool as well as two separate colonial mansions each with two en-suite bedrooms and a shared infinity pool.
The restaurant and lounge area at the top features a 20 m long infinity pool with panoramic views of the surrounding environment.
All villas offer striking views of the surrounding jungle like environment and paddy fields. Since each villa faces west and due to the short proximity to the beach, witnessing beautiful sunsets come easily.
Each villa features a personal butler, beautifully manicured garden area, outside dining area and a private terrace with sofa and sunbeds and your own saltwater plunge pool. Seriously, what more can you ask for?!
The villas also feature floor to ceiling glass panels which opens on to the private garden/terrace area. The indoor living area is made up of 33sqm combined with a further 24sqm of the terrace and lounge areas. Which means you have got plenty of private space just for yourselves.
The service at Haritha Villas and Spa was exceptional. We received a very warm welcome on the day of our arrival, and we were well taken care of by our very own personal butler Nishantha and his team during the rest of our stay. They even made us a delicious chocolate cake as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary that weekend.
At Haritha Villas, you can decide either to have all your meals in your villa (which they arrange for you happily) or if you need a change of scenery you can visit the main restaurant area for meals. We loved having food at the main restaurant as it is right next to the 20m long infinity pool providing beautiful views of the surrounding paddy fields. Our favorite was the rice and curry preparations during lunchtime. Specially the prawn curry, it was so good!
Breakfast was super cozy and relaxed as we decided to have it in our villa after an early morning dip in our plunge pool. The hot hot lattes, fresh fruits and the warm pancakes served with chocolate sauce were absolutely delightful.
This exclusive resort benefits from a highly convenient location in the southern region of Sri Lanka with easy access to many great beaches as well as other must-visit sites.
